Prestige Worldwide Moving

I did not move because my company did not win a contract. After a pushy sales guy took $1100 deposit last fall, I have been unable to get a response from the company to retrieve my deposit. I sent the company two letters verifying the fact that we didn't win and I wouldn't be moving. I've heard NOTHING. In addition, sub-contractor trucking company address is a strip mall (yoga) in Miami and have been banned by the US DOT from doing business. License has been revoked. This is a criminal enterprise and the company "officers" should be arrested.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1100

I have never felt so disrespected and violated in my life - the movers were rude and mean. The driver called me in Minneapolis late in the afternoon and started YELLING loudly at me because I told him the U-Haul storage place was closing and that he couldn't get in. After hanging up on him three times because I refused to be YELLED at, he just unloaded ALL THE STUFF FROM MY HUSBAND'S ART STUDIO AND PACKED IT INTO OUR CONDO with all our furniture and boxes. I paid extra to have fragile things packed and they broke nearly every thing possible. They broke an antique coffee table into a 1,000 pieces (I literally started to cry when I saw it), an antique lamp base was broken, a floor lamp shade was broken, many dishes were broken (and as most people know - when you break one piece in a setting of china - you then have one less place setting). I have documented all the breakage with photos. They were asked to bring (and we paid for) at least 8-10 garment boxes.. they brought them and packed them but not one single garment was hung up - they just threw the clothes, hangers and all, into the boxes. They also packed other things in the garment boxes - in one box they put 2 floor lamps and a table lamp - the lamp shades were thrown in on top and RUINED!! Like so very many things. A simple thing like packing some bathroom items - everything was just thrown in and liquids went in upside down - getting makeup and powders wet and RUINED! Then I got to pay well over $8,000 for that unbelievably rotten service!

Worst service and communication I have ever dealt with. I hired them to move my aging mother from MO to GA. They gave me a firm quote. On the day of moving doubled the rate, and made they made us pay them cash (Paypal) before they would start moving. Two guys met me in a car at a WalMart parking lot. I had no choice but to pay them. I asked where the truck was, and they said we had to go meet it..

They then drove 30 miles to Columbia to rent a truck from Budget and I followed them. It was 16 foot truck (800 cubic feet.) I warned them the contents may not fit.

After loading half the truck they agreed the truck was not big enough and took off (with my stuff) and were gone for 4 hours.

While they were gone, I did the packing in the assisted living facility myself as it was getting dark (we started at noon). I had to leave my mother with dementia was in a hotel room because we were emptying out her place and it would have been too cold and stressful for her. When they did arrive they didn't have moving blankets, bubble wrap, boxes, or tape. I had to purchase these myself from Lowe's.

When they arrived in GA, they would not unload until we gave them the balance with a money order. Quote was for $2100, and they charged us over $4500. They said there were overnight charges (their choice not mine, packing charges ( I did the packing, and 1100 CF of household items. A 16 foot truck only holds 800 cubic feet and we were not full).

We had no choice but to pay them. After repeated attempts to reach the owner (5 calls with Josh in CS), I was advised to hire a lawyer.

Service cost: $4535

My move was scheduled for 01/23, they did not call me to confirm my pick up time or date, we had to continuously contact them to get a confirmed time. I get a call and they told me they would be at my office at 11:00am, they did not get there until 1:00pm. My move INCLUDED disassembling, the movers that came to my office were not aware of this so the packing took the whole day.

They were supposed to deliver around 02/05. They said that they were going to deliver on 02/08. I went and rented a storage unit because my condo wasn't ready to be moved into yet, well the day passed and no phone call, they call back, apparently the truck had some issues. Okay understood, it happens; everyday they told us that delivery would be made the following day, everyday we called to get confirmation. THEY NEVER CALLED US. WE ALWAYS HAD TO CALL THEM. The driver finally calls on 02/16 saying that delivery would be made in a couple of hours. A couple of hours go by and now the driver is saying that he is stuck on the side of the road with brake problems? My items arrive to me on 02/18. We were supposed to have 2 drop off locations (we had 2 pick up locations so why would we only have 1 drop off location?). The driver tells us that the manifest only has one drop off and to keep in mind that he is just the driver and there are a lot of broken and damaged items. That was an understatement! Almost every item is damaged! I called Prestige and spoke with Josh and all he has to tell me is that he does not know why things were unwrapped and taken apart, and to file a claim.

It took 26 days for me to get all of my things. Not only that but they also got done packing and then tell me that the estimate is now higher, almost 50% higher than what was estimated to us.

Service cost: $15642

On 9/12/2016 A carrier form this company delivered my items. They asked me to pay in cash ONLY before my stuff was delivered. While unpacking we noticed an annotate some damage to our stuff.I told the driver to make a list of the damages and marked on the documents, he told me that the company only needs pictures and the claim form sent. I told him I will not sign any document before he marked the damages and he started doing a list of them and told me it will be submitted to the company with the receipts. The next day I mail the claim form and try to call the company with no answer. All I asked is reimbursement from them since all my items were brand new when they packed them. I have moved 3 times and I have never faced these problems. I will never used or recommend anybody to use this company.

I normally don't want to review but moving was really stressful. Meeting them over at last minute so I moved to Pennsylvania. I called these guys at Prestige Worldwide and they really made me feel comfortable explaining the whole quoting and binding quote process to me. The last thing I needed was a quote that was going to go up on me. I was trying to work really strict within my budget and if there's you seeing other reviews from companies who prices went up I wanted a reliable up-front quote. And that's exactly what Prestige delivered. I was happy with the turnaround time and delivery of my move.

Service cost: $2650

Below poor. In the process of filing a complaint with the DOT.

Paid to have things packed - glass lamp shades were thrown into boxes loose with other heavy items. All shattered or bent and broken. At least a dozen pieces of furniture broken. Dishes broken.

Unable to contact for over a week while belongings were in-transit and we didn't know where they were.

Unable to contact customer service. Arrived late without adequate help to unload the van - wanted an extra $700 to finish up the next day.

Required to pay in full without being able to inspect the condition of belongings. Some expensive items like computer printer still haven't turned up in the unpacking.

Driver was belligerent and rude.

Service cost: $9000

So I was working in the city doing work on the high rise buildings in my local Union. I had a great living and everything was going well till one day I decided to go down to Florida to move in with my uncle and help him run the business. He owes and operates a computer technology company which sells used computer parts to other company's who need parts for their computers in their offices. I had to move quick and these guys said they could get me down to Florida in 2 days. It was risky but I thought it could work. So I put my faith and money into them and next thing I know I'm in Florida with all my belongings.

Service cost: $3100

I'm still waiting for my stuff! I had my things picked up early December and placed in storage over the holidays and while I found a new house in a new state. I called to have them pick up my things on December 28th. They still have not picked up my things from storage let alone start shipping it across the country. I called 2 weeks ago and was assured that it had been picked up and it was on its way. When I spoke to them last week they said it had been "delayed" and they would pick it up this weekend. I'm still waiting for just some news on where my stuff is. My experience so far with this company has been horrible! There contract states that they have 21 days to deliver to the west coast, however they say that 21 day period starts after they pick up my things from storage and I obviously have no control over when they will pick it up. I'm very frustrated and would not recommend this company to anyone.

This has been one of the worse moving companies I have ever moved with. My items were to be delivered a few days after they picked them up. Instead it took them over a month to deliver my items. They never returned any of my calls on when my things were to be delivered to never let me know my stuff was delayed. When they had my stuff they decided to drive all over the US with it instead of bringing it to me right away. Furthermore, the customer service was one of the worse they did nothing to help me out with the delays and were constantly argueing with me on my delivery of items and wouldnt' give me any sort of discount for how long my items have taken to be delivered. To make things worse they charged me an extra $500 and didn't tell me until a few hours before they arrived and didn't tell me how much I would owe the entire time. NEVER MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY!! they are nasty, mean, rude people and most likely you wont' receive your items for over 1 month.

BEWARE!! Do not use this moving company. Anthony and Josh will promise you anything to get your money and have you sign their contract! After that they could care less! They promised a delivery date and my valuables came 2 weeks later. I had to pay for a hotel. Plus some of my valuables were damaged and un able to be repaired. They said they do not use middlemen. This is not true! They also tell you that you are insured but actually you only get 60 cents per pound. I can collect $12.00 on My damages worth over $1000.00. This move was a 3 week nightmare and ending up costing me $2000.00 extra dollars in hotels and damages!

I tried following up with Anthony Greene today in regards to my very expensive television being cracked as well as my TV stand being delivered in pieces. When I tried finding out the next steps Anthony said, "Why should I go out of my way for you after you wrote a negative review on my company?" From there Anthony did what he has been doing whenever I try and get answers from him, he hung up on me. If you go and look on their Facebook Page you will see similar complaints of anything cursing and hanging up on customers. Him and Josh are the rudest people I have ever worked with.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I was short on time (and albeit expertise) to move my belongings from my modest 1 bedroom apartment in Ohio to my new place here in Minneapolis. After scouring the available options, I took advice from a friend who used their company prior and solicited the services for Prestige Worldwide Moving. He claimed that they were perhaps one of the best moving services he has dealt with (the nature of his job entails he relocate every 3-4 years) and that they are a high quality company. The five star rating says it all: here is a company that believes in true customer satisfaction, providing exceptional service for every penny you pay (and a very reasonable price as well). From scheduling and all the way to receiving my items at my new apartment, I have been amazed at how professional and courteous this company’s employees have been every step of the way. First off the representative took adequate time to understand my need for an expedited move due to an unexpected deadline. The movers were also surprisingly timely and wonderfully organized as the process of loading the truck was done very efficiently. They were truly respectful in handling all of my belongings and every single item arrived in exactly the same condition as when it had left. What’s more, the delivery of my items was also prompt and timely. With a limited amount of notice, I was able to rely on this company to expedite the process and I received my belongings with relative speed. To cap it off, the price of roughly $2300 was a steal when factoring in the time saved, distance traveled, and truly quality service all the way from start to finish. Many companies claim to live up to a high standard of customer service, however, many times these claims fall short of the actual performance. It is with extreme confidence that I recommend this company to any and all individuals looking to hire a professional and affordable moving company! Prestige Worldwide Moving will certainly be used by me in the future.

With all the headaches I experienced with this move; from coordinating travel, where I was going to stay and all our storage, it was great to have the actual move be so seamless. They were on time and got right to the actual move. My items made it to our new place and everything was still in tact, boxes didn't shift or get crushed and our furniture was covered so we didn't get any scratches or broken pieces. Couldn't have been smoother, now I just need to unpack everything.

The moving went very smoothly. I had received all the stuff well in time. The pick guys were true professionals. The guys who picked up and delivered the stuff were very friendly
and they cleared all questions I had about the move and how they move the stuff to the destinations.
For the quantity of the stuff I had moved, $2200 was an excellent price. I had contacted other movers and no one had quoted below $3500, in that regard I got an excellent deal.
If you are moving, I suggest you to go ahead with them prestige Worldwide Moving without any second thoughts.

I hired Prestige Worldwide Moving based on excellent reviews on this site but I had the worst moving experience in my life. Looking at latest reviews I see that I just got the same nasty treatment they give to other customers. Other people had similar problems and dealt with the same people I did: Anthony Greene and Josh Williams

1. The company held hostage my goods for two months until I agreed to pay $450 to cover their insurance costs since they did not have enough insurance to deliver in my building. They took the money but still failed to obtain proper certificates of insurance, the documents they presented were rejected by the building management for lack of adequate insurance.

2. When the driver arrived at the destination he handed me the bill with additional charge of $570 for long carry and elevator fee at the origin.The charges were clearly invalid. There was no long carry and elevator fee was not in my contract. The company that did pickup gave me the full bill for their services, it did not include these charges either. Apparently someone just decided to charge me more. I tried to discuss this with Josh Williams but he stopped responding to my inquiries.

3. They did not provide me with itemized list of items and some items were lost during the move. They also did not give me receipts for payments while most payments were in cash.

4. As other reviewers noted, people at Prestige lack professionalism. 3 weeks after pickup I started calling them and they would say: the driver is close by, your goods will be delivered by the end of the week. It went on for several weeks until they stopped answering my calls.

By all means, stay away. The company violates many regulations and somehow is able to operate to give moving business a bad name.

By the way, their web site is wrong, there are complaints against them on BBB, and I am adding another one.

NEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY A DEPOSIT !! THEY STOLE OUR DEPOSIT OF $600. We had an agreed upon rate with Prestige - a driver from another company shows up and claimed the move would be 3 times the agreed upon rate. Our Inventory matched the exact Inventory provided to Prestige - we as consumers did everything correct. Prestige said that since the driver felt Inventory exceeded the Cubic foot determined by Prestige that our deposit was non refundable.

This company is not accredited by the BBB as they claim on thier website - Do your Homework on this company they are CROOKS !! Read some of the other reviews here and you will see Prestige takes advantage of those when they are moving and very vulnerable.

This is a long and frustrating review, but bottom line - don't use this company. They are rude, double talkers who will tell you what you want to hear, get you to pay the deposit, and ruin your move.

I was moving a mere four blocks, but I had heavy furniture and required a moving company to handle the furniture. I contacted Prestige Worldwide Moving based on excellent reviews in Yelp. I spoke with a representative (I don't know that I should put names in here, although there were two specific representatives who were absolutely rude and untrustworthy.) who told me what I wanted to hear: the move would happen on 19 February, they would do everything from bringing boxes and packing to unpacking and removing said boxes, I could pay with a credit card, etc. Even when I restated what he told me - which was not fully spelled out in the contract, he agreed with exactly as written above. He even assisted me with creating my moving estimate and said a pre-move inspection wasn't necessary.

I called the company on 17 February to verify what time the movers would arrive. I was told they would arrive between 0900 and 1100.

However, when 1030 on 19 February arrived, I hadn't heard from the movers, so I called Prestige. (Note: When you call, don't hit #1 for customer service - no one will answer. You must hit #2 for sales to reach anyone.) I was informed by Representative #1 that the driver was running behind and would arrive by 1200, and the driver would contact me. When 1130 arrived, I contacted Prestige again. The driver was not here and had not called me. Again, I was informed that the driver was running late and would arrive between 1500 and 1600 - and I was reminded that I had signed a contract for arrival on 19 February, so it didn't matter that they hadn't arrived yet. Finally, at 1430, I received a call from the driver (Mind you - this was the first and ONLY time someone from the moving company called me; I have had to contact them every other time.), and the driver said he was just leaving NORTH CAROLINA and would arrive in 5 hours, at the earliest. I am moving four blocks in Virginia..why would they have a driver from North Carolina coming to move me?! I contacted Prestige again to say the driver wouldn't arrive at a reasonable time to pack and move me, and what happened now..and what discount would be offered for this frustrating turn of events. Representative #2 said I had authorized 48 hours for my move, so they weren't late and there would be no discount.

The driver finally showed up on 20 February, albeit he was later than the arrival time he told me the night before. But everything was packed and loaded..and then I was told the moving estimate didn't cover everything I had, so the move would cost more. And I could not pay by credit card (the driver didn't even have a way to run the credit card, even if I could pay that way), even though I had been told by two of the three representatives that I could pay by credit card (I didn't ask the third one). This required me to find a place that was open on a Saturday afternoon (no banks are open on Saturday afternoon in Old Town Alexandria, VA) to purchase a money order. AND the driver and movers would not unpack the said boxes, even though that was agreed to with two of the three representatives (I didn't ask the third one).

Bottom Line: get everything in writing. Representative #2 stated that none of my reasons for being frustrated were valid because "the contract says..", even though all items were agreed to and were how I interpreted the contract. The only reason the company received two stars is because the driver and movers hustled and packed/moved all items. They were professionals and were only do their job. As other reviews have said, the movers are not Prestige Worldwide but are subcontractors/third parties. The representatives at Prestige are rude and do not have time for you once you signed the contract and pay the deposit. Worst move ever for me, and I have moved across country numerous times. I should have thought twice when I asked myself "how hard can it be to move four blocks!?".

Prestige Worldwide Moving is an excellent moving service. During my recent move from Florida to North Carolina Prestige Moving handled everything very well. And this company is very careful and complete because their customer service is fantastic. Specifically the move went very well from start to finish. The entire staff was very professional and curteous. They made me feel like I was important and that made a big difference from other moving companies. I felt safe using Prestige for my moving needs. Overall I am very pleased with Prestige moving, and I would recommend this company to family and friends, Great Service.

This was the close to the most painful chapter in my life. They have no idea of the magnitude of what they've done for me. A bit of a wait for pickup however, it was worth every minute. The men were so kind, polite, helpful & efficient. More items than expected but they said they'd take everything. I was overjoyed to have these years of misery closed! I needed it done ASAP & constantly called Prestige for 1 reason or another as I've spent my last 2 years in court w/my ex & this put me in a dire financial situation & they did work w/me as much as possible. It was worth it to me as I'd spent so much time worrying as to when & how I was finally going to get all my belongings in 1 place so I could move on w/my life. They took all of that off my mind which was literally the weight of those thousands of lbs. I didn't really check items carefully as it was so nice to have my life in 1 place in almost 2 years, but since they've been here things look fine. Although I wanted to give the movers a tip to show my gratitude for everything they'd done they understood my financial situation & were very gracious. I recommend them to everyone & all 3 of the gentlemen I spoke to about anything & everything over the course of 8 days were always patient, kind, understanding, courteous, quick to return my calls (even before & after hours), not 1 time became rude, loud, short or treated me unkindly. I don't know when I've dealt w/a company that was so consistent in providing such excellent customer service. They were the 1st company to contact me when I began searching for a mover & there was a sincerity in Anthony's voice that I felt I could trust & my instinct was spot on. Thank you all at Prestige Worldwide Moving & you'll never know what a significant role you played in helping me move on w/my life! God pointed me to you directly & that was no coincidence. Thank you, thank you, thank you & God bless!

This was the first time that I had used a moving company and I have to say I will go to them every time. There staff is professional and courteous with your things and they pack up everything nicely. I am a stickler when it comes to what things go where and they listened to my every word. Upon delivery they even helped me unpack a few of my boxes for me. I got a great price as well, I think in total it came to a little over $2000. If your need to move quick and with great caution with your things this is surely the company to chose.

So, when I had to move essentially across the country (from Oregon to FLORIDA), I was gobsmacked by the sheer number of decisions I had to make in a very short timeline.

BUT, one decision I am super glad I made is that I happened to take the recommendation of my former employer and used Prestige for moving.

Now, I have some unusual items, like a pinball machine, musical instruments, antiques, etc, but these guys made me feel at ease from the get-go. They had my items protected and packed so efficiently that it took up like 2/3 of the space once loaded that the same items did the last time I moved. This allowed me to bring a bit more furniture than I had planned! Bonus!

The staff were clean and professional. Also, as someone who moves a lot, I am always prepared for damage here or a delay there, but these guys DELIVERED ON TIME, despite the bad weather patterns happening in various states along the way.

For the value of my peace of mind, and for not adding to the stress of my move, and for performing the precise services requested at a reasonable rate with no surprises, I give 5 stars, and I will use them again!
